About Us – The Story Behind Gnome Bot Games
Meet Archer: Inventor, Entrepreneur & Game Designer
Archer has been an inventive kid from day one — and he's always had an entrepreneurial streak to match. His first business was a classic lemonade stand, but he quickly expanded his roadside offering to include daffodils he planted himself, with a plan to sell them every year on Mother's Day. He also ran a successful Sugar Pine sales venture on Etsy — all before his teenage years.
The profits from those early businesses helped fund his latest and biggest venture yet: Gnome Bot Games and its debut card game, Up & Down.

Where Up & Down Began
Archer first created the framework for Up & Down with his Grandma Carol, using two standard decks of cards. It was simple, fun, and instantly a family favorite. Last year, he decided to take it further — designing a unique card set from scratch and expanding the rules and variations to include Achievement Cards, making the game even more engaging and replayable.

A Family Effort
With the help of his mom Wendy and the whole family, the team has workshopped the game endlessly, tweaking designs and mechanics to get everything just right. They've partnered with a printer to bring Up & Down to life at scale — turning a homemade game night creation into something the whole world can enjoy.
